The Instituto Aragonés de Fomento (IAF) has selected EXXN Engineering as the recipient of the TechFabLab 2024 grant, an initiative aimed at fostering innovation in startups and tech SMEs.
This grant will specifically be applied to an innovative product being developed by EXXN, which will enable the digitalization of existing components in electrical substations. Typically, these types of components have a very long lifecycle due to their high CAPEX, and adapting them to the new standards based on the IEC61850 protocol will provide them with enhanced functionality and significantly lower operational costs (OPEX) compared to current systems.
With this support, EXXN has taken a crucial step in a new product line that will allow the digitalization of components in existing substations, positioning itself for future growth as a national leader in this field.
