We are looking for a PhD Engineer Lead Developer for the development of the next generation of optical analyzers for 25GS-PON and 50-GPON technologies. The main role is to coordinate the design and development of the software for this instrumentation. The selected candidate will be part of a deep-tech specialization team with international projection, dedicated to pioneering instrumentation for next-generation PON networks.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and evolution of firmware and software for next-generation analyzers
- Define the technical architecture
- Develop advanced features for traffic analysis, diagnostics, and interoperability
- Coordinate work with the R&D team to integrate new capabilities into the analysis engine
- Ensure the technical quality of the product and its alignment with functional requirements
Desired profile
- PhD holder in Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, Electronics, Telematics, or related fields (or in a very advanced stage of the thesis)
- Technical Competence: Ability to interpret complex specifications and design robust solutions for instrumentation systems
- High level of English (spoken and written)
- Highly creative and autonomous
It will be especially valued
- Knowledge in PON technologies
- Experience in C# / C++
- Experience in digital design on FPGAs
- Experience in AI bringing LLMs (Llama Meta, DeepSeek) to production: local deployment and maintenance of the model lifecycle.
- Experience in firmware development and real-time data processing architectures
- Familiarity with telecommunications instrumentation
